| Off-ice Training | Summer Hockey Schools |
These and other programs have been specifically designed to provide goaltenders, coaches and parents with quality opportunities to learn how to develop and strengthen individual skills in the area of goaltending.
Over the course of eight weeks (October 16 - December 11, 2008, excluding November 6), NetPower's Fall "PowerUp" Program has been specifically designed to provide goaltenders at all levels with strategies to improve their skills and develop their game. The Fall Program will allow goaltenders to participate in a positive learning, training and performing environment.
NetPower strongly believes that the goaltender needs to be one of the best skaters on the ice. The on-ice training allows the goaltenders to go through a variety of goaltender specific skating drills while concentrating on the importance of quality stretching techniques. They will participate in a variety of drills and lessons that will touch on the most important components of his/her game.
A Boni Puck Machine will also be used during specific ice sessions. The group of goaltenders will work on many of today's important skill sets having to do with perfecting one's game in the net in a setting that will challenge and motivate them to improve.
